Kimber Lee knows exactly where to hit too!
.
Tried something diffent artwise! Don't love the result (and I consider the next page, pg. 233, simply awful!)
.
How about my new avatar for Valentine? It's supposed to be one of those little candy hearts with the words on them, if you can't make it out; says ‘dreaming of you’…
.
Thanks for Reading Everyone!

@Skyangel: Thank you so much! I'm sure reading through my backlog was a slog at times, and the fact you back-commented on nearly every page... it was a pleasure to read them all! Thanks again!!
skyangel at 3:18AM, Feb. 13, 2015
I set out last October and I've finally landed in the present! maybe I'm dreaming! :D I've thoroughly enjoyed reading the comic up to this point and know I'll enjoy keeping up with you now and it'll be nice to be able to comment on current posts for a change from now on.:)

@Banes: Yeah he trust her to a degree... She is the one who gave him the Godstrain... he does have her family as an ace in the hole too... Thanks about the art and dialogue!!
KimLuster at 6:29PM, Feb. 10, 2015
@Whirlwynd: Thank You!!
Banes at 3:07PM, Feb. 10, 2015
Controlling he may be, but he's quite trusting of Kim, to let her know his secret (or maybe he knows nobody would believe her if she told?). The art looks good to me! I really like the dialogue on this page!
Whirlwynd at 11:21AM, Feb. 10, 2015
I like how the hair is colored on this page =)
KimLuster at 4:24AM, Feb. 10, 2015
@peipei: I won't disagree with you! Sad when some people, who are so smart in most ways, can't see they're acting like cavemen when it comes to relationships!
KimLuster at 4:22AM, Feb. 10, 2015
@plymayer: It's a sci-fi soap opera! And thanks!
Peipei at 9:14PM, Feb. 9, 2015
I think Jack is one of those guys who confuse love with control. I don't think he so much loves her as much as he wants to keep position of her. I' beginning to think his idea of 'love' is a somewhat demented and twisted form of the emotion.
plymayer at 8:31PM, Feb. 9, 2015
Nice avatar.

Everyone is using everyone.

@Brogan: Thank you very much!

@FC: Thank you! If everyone really think the penciling looks good, maybe I'll take another stab at it at some point... And maybe the mixing of them with watercolor as you suggest is something to consider - I did that for a few pages prior to this one, with decent results, but I still did a large amount of background penciling... maybe, like you say, keep it to foreground and objects that 'matter'... Hrrmmmm
fallopiancrusader at 11:01AM, Feb. 9, 2015
Wow the pencils really take over on this page! It looks really nice and more subtle than the pure watercolors. One problem with such universally applied texture is that it can flatten out the artwork, because foreground and background objects all have equal textural presence. I wonder if you applied the pencils only to the foreground objects, and left the softer watercolor washes in the background, it might create a nice sense of depth. (and relief for your wrist). Just a thought, anyway. Great work!

Great page! I saw your Valentine's card on the home page. Very cool!
KimLuster at 6:42AM, Feb. 9, 2015
@Bravo: Really...? Um... Thanks... (I feel weird now haha). Honestly, I may be reflecting my feelings off the next page to come. This page about wore my wrist out so for next page I tried to 'shorten' the process with a smudging technique... I'll let you be the judge of that page, but I do switch back to my older style 2 pages from now... I think some people can't quite separate the feelings of 'I care' vs. the actions of 'I care' - they can be completely opposite!
bravo1102 at 6:35AM, Feb. 9, 2015
The art here is some of your best yet. The character depictions are much smoother and which is fitting for this emotional scene. "I care!" Right the more a guy says that the less he probably does.
KimLuster at 6:24AM, Feb. 9, 2015
@tupapayon: Indeed! Civilized behavior is based on falsehood to a large degree... by that I mean hiding your true feelings a lot of the time. That feeling of wanting to slap your boss... better put on a smile and say 'And a good morning to you, too, sir...' If you always knew when others were being deceptive... Yup! Awful!
tupapayon at 5:51AM, Feb. 9, 2015
Must be awful being able to tell when people lie… we do it since we're babies… we lie everyday…
