When Kimber Lee ‘slows time’ (which has happened several times in the story), it's really more her just being able to think really fast and clear. Time really doesn't slow! If you've ever seen the movie ‘Limitless’ - it's similar to that! And she needs all that time to ‘mental’ figure out what to do! But she's aware of two things: the Godstrain seems to want Eli to find her, and something seems to make it easier to injure Eli… sometimes! But what that is may be hard to figure out, as his durability clearly isn't totally biological (a biological creature, even a giant one, cannot survive the shelling he's taken so far)! It's not gonna be easy - Stay with me!!

I've been really busy, not just RL stuff, but I've volunteered lots of my time to the DD Awards. I probably judged several of you guys' projects - and I tried to be as fair as I could!!

I love this page! Her observations and reasoning fall nicely in with the action and makes for much more riveting reading than just seeing a lot of neat action poses and smart one liners. I'm really curious about these weak moments affecting Eli's defence and what the Godstrain is up to as well. On a side note, the optician used eye drops on my right eye this week to freeze my pupil wide open so he could look inside. The effect lasted for 6 hrs and it was a really sunny day so after two hours I was wearing sunglasses and my eye was throbbing quite a lot. Seeing Eli's eye here reminds me how I felt! lol

Man, if he isn't done fighting yet, he's nearing that point! Without an eye, it's gonna be more difficult to fight a small target like Kimber! Great page!

@Bravo: yeah, back on page 256 there were suggestions they might be willing to blow up their own facilities to get him - they're gettin' desperate! It was one of the reasons they gave on why Kimber Lee should leave the vault - to lead Eli away from everyone! Of course, Poopingt... err.. Biggs wanted to get his in too - guessed he's pissed... And A-10s... hmmmm ;)

Again great choices of camera angles/story beats. It always keeps moving, but you never seem to skimp on the emotional beats. Sweet!

It's as if I can hear the bullets and Eli's roars of pain/outrage without any sound effects. Love that! I can feel the earth shake! Gotta admit, I have no idea what it all means, vis a vis the Eli/Kimber/Godstrain connection. Lovin' the mystery though!!

Aha! As for airstrikes do they really want to blow up their own facility? I mean fuel-air explosive or a flight of B-52s would end this real quick and kill everyone trapped in the place. But the military is thinking of blowing him up enough so that there's nothing left to reanimate. Well maybe they could chance a couple of A-10's.

It all seems futile. I doubt any amount of shelling is going to kill him, and even if it did, we know he's already come back from the dead once before. She needs to figure out what's animating him, and how to turn off the switch.
