Okay, a few things…
Panel 2: It looks like Eli is taking off like Superman and flying, but he's just jumping… really high…
Concerning Eli's reaction, I wanted him to do something really panic-ey and unexpected…
So why didn't Kimber Lee and company trigger the strike as soon as Eli fled? Here's how I see it: 1) His reaction took them by surprise too (yeah yeah shoulda maybe expected it…), 2) He's extremely fast. How far away could he get is a good question, but possibly far enough away not to be seriously harmed, because… 3) Kimber Lee needs to be near him for him to be vulnerable (explained previously) - they've tried bombing him before (see page 283) without lasting effect
So, Kimber Lee is on his tail! And I hope it's clear via the military communication that aircraft have deployed (really they were nearby the whole time…) intent to take on the soldier's role. Along those lines, I hope my ‘military speak’ sounds authentic enough (I know it's not totally, but hopefully enough…)

I have to say that in her shoes I would have had the same change of heart. Assuming Eli would go with me, it would seem like a worthy sacrifice but to think he could survive by being out of range would make me hesitate enormously. She can only do the trick once, so it has to be right!

Holy crappolla I looked at it over and over and never saw...!! It's corrected now!! See, if you hadn't capitalized Downtown I would have notice what you were really saying... So this is pretty much your fault lol!! Anyway... fixed!!

Ha you had me wondering for a second so I looked it up for use in a sentence! Seems lowercase 'downtown' is proper - but don't let that stop you from pointing out potential grammar errors!! :)
