I looked that up - looks VERY interesting!! It's funny, when I saw the cover, I thought Werewolves in a Post-Apocalypse, and that was gonna be my initial idea (I wrote a werewolf novel years ago...). Anyway, the reviews indicate it's not about werewolves, but my serendipity sirens were going off for a bit!!
Nah, too many apostrophes in the names. Okay, everyone pull up a chair and read. All the reason for me not to do another page now that you're back in production.;)
@bravo: I do intend for it to be separate syllable! And I suspected you were being tongue in cheek, but I did research a bit on using them when creating new languages in fictional works... and I did discover that some readers don't just lov'm (hehe), so... wasn't totally sure. In any case, I've kinda already committed :D
It's to indicate tell that it's a seperate accented syllable. That's what apostrophes are used for in names as opposed to possessives and contractions. And I was being tongue in cheek.
Nah! Check out character names from Anne McCaffery's Pern, os some names from Star Trek, or just islands in Hawai'i (O'ahy, Kaho'olawe, Lana'i, Moloka'i, Kaua'i, Ni'ihau...). Yeah, they can be annoying to some readers, but to me (and maybe others) they lend an exotic feel. Anyway, I doubt I'll change my novel grammar now (yeah, I do have some rules I've established - which I may reveal at some point)... Anyway, hope you are one of the readers - always love your comments!!

Oh, I'm sure A'Rhul will be back. Good luck keeping humans humble and harmonious for long! It's just not in our nature!

You can draw things on their foreheads. Depends how deeply they sleep.

They'll need to reinvent the camera for that!!

@plymayer: seems to be only English - the native script seems very hieroglyphic like!!

Do all those Hawaiian names have apostrophes in their native language or just in English?
