Doktor Daemon vs. Orbit 01

Crash Platypus on Sept. 20, 2011

So, let's begin at the beginning:

ORBIT aka Ben Campbell, age (at the time of this comic) 16

Ben was the leader of the ThrillSeekers.
an idealistic aw-shucks good guy type who idolized superheroes.
So, when he was abducted by aliens, experimented on, and discarded when they didn't get the desired results, Ben was kinda traumatized that no superheroes saved him.
He did, however change his mind 3 weeks later when the ability to manipulate gravity waves manifested.
Like all good geeks, he decided to become a hero, and, though he's a bit high-strung (“I'll be ever-vigilant, and never let what happened to me happen to others!!”) and somewhat xenophobic when it comes to aliens, he's a good hearted, effective hero.
When his superheroic activities got more intense, what with the villain population of his Xailenrath City, Connecticut home rising exponentially ever couple of months, he decided to form a team.
His first recruit, his best friend, Vernon Long, a speedster calling himself Rev.
His second, (and, in his mind, more important recruit, as he had a huge crush on her… don't tell Rev he said that): Jenny Tanner, aka UberWoman.

Above, Orbit vs. Doktor Daemon. Originally a Doctor Doom parody. I never made Doktor Daemon any more serious in later endeavors, but I did make him more dangerous.
I decided that he, as well as another despot villain I named OverKill, were both alternate future versions of the same guy: My supervillain-in-training, ‘Milo Mannheim’ from another strip I did, which I wound up calling "Malicious Intent. I also changed Orbit's costume. I would come to both regret, and be relieved by that later on.
