My hiccups are funny. I often get them when I'm done eating but I only have really mild ones and I hiccup 2-3 times and then I'm done. You could try to have yourself scared. I've heard that works. I've would have said hold your breath but you already mentioned that.
If you ate way too much, your stomach touches your diaphram, I think…
