king of queens- doug heffernan was dopey
according to jim- he's dopey
peter griffin-is dopey.

what do all of these shows have in common?all about white guys who constantly mess up and aren't cool. its the blueprint of a sitcom.

its just a safe thing that hollywood and people in those positions do in general because they're afraid that racial special interest groups will come after them and their products and advertisers.

The problem with using things like movies as examples is that it's still subjective. So your point is easily lost if someone doesn't have the exact same tastes as you.


To be honest, I think you've dug yourself a hole here. You brought up some interesting points, but they were more or less lost with your criticisms based on misperceptions and lack of information. You've said things that reflect poorly on you personally, whether you intended that or not. I don't think this thread is going to get beyond that. It's a miracle that things have gone so well in this thread really. Trying to defend yourself and make yourself look okay again so everyone can talk about the salvageable points from the thread is going to be harder than just making a whole new thread with a focused argument.

So, I think if we want to have a discussion about some of those points, someone should make a new thread about it than use this old messy thing. :]
