As you can see, very small children have an aversion to snow until almost 8 years old, wherafter a person totally loses any hesitance. 10 years old this is the highest instance of the “Whee!!” (or Fun/Amusement) factor. However, in later teen years, there is a steady decline of “Whee!!” and an increase of the “Craaap!” (or annoyance/fear) factor. This is mostly due to driving and having dates and whatnot. After a person hits 30, you can see quite a dramatic decline of “Whee!!” and increase of “Craaap!!”. At about 40, the two factors are almost at equal perception. And of course, any older, “craaap!” just keeps climbing and you almost totally lose any “Whee!!” perception.

I hope that this has been of help to you.

So very wise. And pretty darn accurate to boot! :D

It all has to do with age. We can see it here in this scientifically researched graph:

I love snow. I couldn't stand living in a place that doesn't get any in the winter. We've got a ton of it here right now, and I'm loving it. It really makes up for last winter when we had no snow at all at Christmas.

I haven't played in it for ages though, I really hate getting soaked when it melts.

I love snow! Unless it rains overnight and the snow gets all wet and uhh… yeah, WET! And after a day or two, so it freezes and gets extra slippery (like the wet snow wasn't slippery enough!), but otherwise I simply love snow.

I have a love hate relationship with snow. Most of the time, I love it. I like to look at it, play in it and even drive my car in it.

The only drawbacks were when we had the biggest driveway in the neighborhood and driving my semi through it when it's fresh and wet. (which still isn't bad if it's really cold out and it gets about as hard as concrete. Yesterday I had to drive through some pretty hilly spots of Idaho and Wyoming but it was -15F {-26.1C} so even the ice wasn't really a problem.)

I think most people who say they hate snow really just hate extreme cold and slipping on ice if you look more closely at what they're saying, though shoveling can be a bitch if it's thick or wet. Those things I hate, but not snow.

I like snow, in Oregon it actually doesn't snow very often and when it does it's usually not around for long. I like making a tiny snowman and puting him in the freezer while I still have the chance. Most of the time we just get ice: All the danger of snow with none of the fun.

I grew up with snow, in NY, and I loved it. Then I got dragged to NC when I was young, and it's only snowed 2 or 3 times here since I've moved here. It's crap. A few days ago it was 80 degrees, and it's the middle of December!!! My family gets all the snow. Bahh. I can't wait to move back.

Oh sure, it looks fluffy and it's wonderful to play in, but can you really say that after being buried in an avalanche, almost freezing to death?

I've lived in Arizona for a year and a half now, through two winters, so I've fortunately been out of the snow (Except when I visit Flagstaff, but that's another story).

I grew up, however, in New Hampshire. We got snow- not as bad as other states, but we got it, for sure. I hated it, from a very young age. I hated it, because it made the streets slippery and slick, and sidewalks either impossible to climb over the humps of snow, or COVERED with ice. This was exacerbated when it became my responsibility to shovel snow.

I think it still has a very magical feel to it, when it's fresh and powdery and light, perfect for packing together into a snowman or snowball. I'm just very glad I no longer have to walk on/shovel snow. :D

Ok, I like snow. At least I can have fun outside. What I can't handle is ice (so you know I live in NW Missouri, so I had no power till 8pm Friday), I get so bored and cold. And no one better make fun of me, the people around here had it so bad it made national news.

I can feel for you there. Last year I went on an exchange trip to California. We went through one of those power outages. It was EXTREMELY cold. There was a bad blizzard going outside. And the generater just wouldn't work…

Rarely get snow in North Carolina, also it doesn't go below freezing much, and the weather is usually clear. when I lived in Upstate NY I remember it getting to 10 or so below, on top of that you had the wind chill to worry about. Honestly that had to be the worst time of my life haha.

I hate snow :D

i don't hate the snow.
i just don't like it when its half melted and leaves a lovely coat of “grease” behind.
pretty much everything that comes out of a car exhaust or something ends up in the snow and all over the roads.
>_<

Snow? What's that? (Floridian)

It's something you get a lot of in the parts of canada and asia that are in the arctic circle.

It's quite cold, it's white, it look fluffy but it can freeze you to death if you stay in it for more than… say… 4 hours? That is if it's a cold day and there is no sun.

But still, it's a hell of a lot of fun to play in.

You should of used a fire tourch instead. Much easier, and takes less time to get rid of the snow.
