Yeah, the secret to those noodle soups is that they're just the base, not intended to be the entire meal. The more stuff you toss in, the better it gets. Mushrooms, sprouts, spinach, bok choy, carrots, green beans, peas, corn, a bit of egg... Ideally it should be a soup that happens to have noodles in it. Good way to use up veggies you have a bit of.
Would totally send you sushi, but it ranks rather high on the 'things that do not mail well' list.
No prices on the menus, argh, that's usually a sign that the food is overpriced. I love sushi too. If you can find a buffet restaurant that serves sushi, those are usually a good bet (they'll post the prices and it's usually not too bad if you're hungry enough to eat a lot).
Tricky of course, goven where she's at. Sushi gets better the closer to the ocean you are. Ideally, you get stuff that was still swimming arlund the day before...
I enjoy some ramen with an added egg (or 2) when I don't feel up to doing something more involved, boils into a nice semi-solid mass that's surprisingly a little less messy than the noodles alone! (if one is careful, at least) Sometimes I add fish instead, but then I have several cats paying me close attention as I eat! XD
Good to hear you're feeling a bit better!
