“Welcome to the 2024 Drunk Duck Awards, a Drunk Duck satire of the Oscars featuring the creators and comics of The Duck Webcomics. I am your Master of Ceremonies, Niccea.”

Niccea will start accepting FYC pages now. Please PQ or email your pages to Niccea (PQ link below). Please keep them rated G. The theme is musical. You can have you character performing or reenacting a musical, messing up in a casting call or heckling the from the audience, etc. Remember the FYCs are very free form and the theme is just to provide some continuity between the pages.

A musical theme? Ideas for incorporating musical elements into a comic that does not have sound:

“No musical prowess required, have characters try to reinact iconic scenes from famous musicals.” -Niccea

“It can as simple as putting “sung to the tune of” or you could put in full music like plymayer has. Mad magazine used to do it all the time.” -Bravo1102

“You could even just have characters reacting to a musical number that is going on either off-screen or in the background.” -PaulEberhardt

“I think I'm gonna just do original song lyrics and have the themes go with the characters and theme of the comic. Sure, there's plenty of big ones out there to reference, but hopefully they won't be necessary for ppl to tell it's a musical number.” -InkyMoondrop
