@DV: My guess for Claire being a bitch to Nikki is that Nikki is more Sarah's friend than Janey's. She and Janey may be friends, but Sarah is the closer of the two to Nikki. Therefore, Claire can, by striking at Nikki, get at Sarah while letting it slip a bit under Janey's radar as to just what she's really doing. That's my interpretation of it anyways. ~Liz

Guess the question is now: why is Claire being such a bitch to Nikki? Going back to pg 124 re-noticed the tattoo on Leo's shoulder, at first it looked like one of those zodiac symbols but it now looks more like a head (with 2 dots for eyes and another for the mouth)? Which is it please?

Comic didi: Ah, now in the original script I had Sarah lining up with Gerry and wanting to get back at Janey, but deciding to keep the kiss casual after realising it would possibly upset Sasha. However she was surprised during the kiss when Gerry's lips barely brushed her own before she pulls away as if to prove that her affection had now moved on to Sasha. I cut the page in the end because it felt like there was too much to be covered and this was not quite such an important page.

DV: At the beginning of the party (p124)Claire and Janey are talking about Nikki as being a guy which suggests Janey has either explained or guessed. Leo already knew from Nikki's birthday party, and Geraldine would probably have informed Sasha, so it's only Ricky who is totally in the dark.

Liz: Yea, absolutely. Claire felt she had lost her best friend to Sarah in a way in which she was unable to compete to win her back. Both Janey and Claire display selfish tendencies so Janey no doubt let Claire down plenty of times to be with Sarah and Claire now revels in using what power she does have to try and mess the relationship up for her own selfish gain.

Tommym: You're sort of halfway right. I've always felt that Claire started out straight and had little thought about any sort of intimacy with girls, but like Nikki she too has dipped her toe into a different pond and they may possibly both now be left questioning their sexual boundaries.

Ironsides: There has never been any love lost between Sarah and Claire and when sarah tries to get on, it seems that Claire always has some sort of grudge still. As you say, I think Claire passionate kiss is probably more to do with winding up Sarah. As she was Janeys first crush Claire enjoys the power she has over her too I think.

Jon71: Very good point! We have always assumed Claire is straight because when Sarah has questioned Janey about her in the past Janey has claimed she is. Claires also had a couple of boyfriends too although neither of them have lasted for long. I'm not saying she is a closet lesbian though, I think she is possibly more bi-curious.

Liz: Right first time hon. On p126 Claire suggests the game and reminds Janey of a previous session. I think it would be reasonable to assume that 'payback' refers to Claire having given her a similar dare in the past. Claire's reply in panel three could be sarcasm.

I really don't like Claire. But also... Janey sure did get into the kiss. This is why I'd never play this game and never want anyone else to. Though I'd have loved to see Sarah with Jerry or Sasha. It'd make things even. Can't wait for the next one. I wanna see Sarah put on her bitch panties.
