Kaitia: What I love about doing this comic most is trying to avoid cliche's and popular desires in favour of the sort of feelings we are all most likely to feel in real life, this is why I love to read all your comments so much. I couldn't give this chapter a fairy tale ending, but I wanted to end on a slightly more hopeful and upbeat one at least.

Aknidar: Merry Christmas to you hon. My idea for Sarah was always that she's often the underdog who has the strength to survive the crap life throws at her and find renewed happiness and contentment as she goes, so I hope you feel you are on that same path too :)

Steve: Yes, Merry Christmas to you too! :) I don't believe in any Gods, but I believe in anything that brings the true goodness out in people and Christmas is one of them, so yeah we like to just celebrate the idea of people all getting on and having fun together as opposed to bickering and gloom. :)

Bear: It's really my own fault here. The station platform they are standing on is roofed so keeping the floor reasonably clear of snow. I'd drawn a few stray snowflakes on the last panel of the previous page which has no doubt led to Emi thinking they are in a more exposed situation. I will put it right, but with Christmas taking so much attention from both of us I've had to let it ride for a couple of days.

Fruitbat: I like to think that perhaps Janey has said her goodbye to Claire at the party but felt so hurt by Claire's hooking out with the old b/f that it's made her want this last moment with Sarah all the more valuable to her. To answer your questions too lol. 1/ I'm not sure what Emi had in mind here tbh. I can understand how hard it would be to get a continuity of design on Janey's coat from different angles but I think Janey's mum's coat is more likely an oversight as neither of us see her as being a very trendy person. I have pushed these last few pages at Emi very close to Christmas so it's understandable that she has had to throw them back a lot faster than she would normally have to. :)

David: Merry Christmas to you too hon :) I did love doing this page both in writing and drawing it. I didn't want tears, but I still wanted the sense of loss to come across as they have shared so much together since school and it's not all been bad.

Liz: Happy Christmas hon!! Yes I'm sorry to see her go too in many ways. She's always been both the cutest and hardest to draw for me at times and despite making her so frustratingly selfish I still feel that she can often show a really warm and cute side to Sarah, that Sarah's going to miss.

Very poignant strip, at least her Mother didn't open her mouth, in one way I'm sorry to see Janey leave, however her leaving London is best for all as I'm sure they would keep bumping into each other if she stayed. Now they both grow and decide the course of their lives.

Fruibat -Well you'd assume they'd've cleared snow from the trax and station....I do like that last panel with the exiting train and the wind-blown hair. Jeez, we could get used to this 3 pages within a week lark, girls ! B-)

That is sad. I'm glad that Janey and Sarah don't hate each other, but they just can't be together. I guess that once trust is broken, it can never be repaired. :-( Or maybe, with time, things will heal between them - a very long time though. Funny that Claire wasn't there to see Janey off . . . Okay; I do think that is a great strip, and a really nicely done bittersweet parting between two people who thought they'd be together for ever. But . . . Now it's nit-picking time: 1. It's really cute how Janey and her mum have matching patterns on there coats, but the pattern on Janey's seems to change from panel to panel. And . . . 2. Where has all the snow gone!!!!!
