There is nothing wrong with using References, most (if not all) the 'top' professional artists use them (the ones who at least _attempt_ a semi-level of realism anyway, even if they end up distorted)

VinoMas: My heart goes out to you. I know exactly what you mean and since the so called 'revamp' the Duck seems to have pretty much killed all the atmosphere here and what's even worse is that I'm not sure they really care. I think they had designs on making more money from the site by attracting the readers to their own personal projects which is fair enough really as we get to enjoy it for free. But I was lucky to have got in early on when the site had fewer comics and everyone was hungry for anything half decent to read. I think today the best way to get a following is by a blog connected to a Facebook account. Getting 'liked' and posting notifications is probably the best way to attract readers and keep them reminded of what you are doing.

Arici: Oh yesss hehe. It was never my intention to be sensationalist with the storyline as it felt their was enough drama in real life situations as it was without getting too dramatic, but in a world where so often people like Richard go through life ruining so many others and having no remorse for their crimes it felt good to get rid of him once and for all. The events surrounding his last day are quite complex so it's going to be fun unravelling all the details once we get there.

Bear: I use refs as much as possible these days for both added realism and nicer art. I used to think using refs was cheating but even doing just hands can be complicted at times so rather than waste an hour trying to get a pose or gesture right from memory it seems much more sensible now to just use a ref for guidance. ........................................................................................................................... Kim: Yeah, rape is one of the most ignorant and selfish crimes there are apart from one of the most destructive. As for Sarah being broody, yeah that's spot on but for now at least she's happy to have Cally around to make up for not having her own :) ........................................................................................................................... Lovely page, this is really catching my attention on what in the world happened on that fateful night. Cally is a little princess and I usually really don't care for any children under the age of 10. Eager to see how this chapter develops.

I'm going to go get caught up in this story! I used to be on Drunkduck in the mid-2000s where I felt like everyone was really interactive with each other's work. Fan Art, comments, questions, intrigue...but since I've returned in March 2013 with two new comics I feel like it's desert island with a metal door interface. Any advice on getting your work out there and some other great comics in the vein of a "soap opera" "drama" or "plot/character driven" stories?
