Yes, I know there's that basic split in the "audience"...but I like the fact that they've never gotten back together, _nor_ totally gone their separate ways. The fallen asleep last panel was nice.

Locoma: It was more a way of hinting at how relaxed she feels in Janey's company. I always sense a certain amount of tension towards Janey when I do these sort of pages as I know some miss her and others want Sarah to forget her! lol But it sounds like you and Phantom both have some affection left for Janey too. :)

MGH: It was one of those moments where I stopped for a break because the original text for the panel was bothering me. It didn't really add anything to the conversation so while I was making tea I 'replayed' the whole conversation through again in my mind and the sentence just came out differently with the added bit about her dad which felt much more meaningful. :)

Kim: That is the best attitude for sure! lol I wish I was more like that :) Sarah and Janey have been together so long though that I really wanted them to have that sort of bond still. Janey probably knows the real Sarah better than anyone and Sarah knows that. Sarah's also a person that tends to care about others despite their crimes(eg Stacey) and therefore I felt she must still have a soft spot for Janey at times.:)

Oh, very interesting! I especially like the "I don't blame dad anymore" bit, it shows how mature Sarah is, now. I feel that it's healthy and part of really growing up to be able to recognize that as adults we can't keep blaming our parents for behaviors/feelings we have. Parents/significant adults are a huge part of our lives, but if you want to be an adult, I think you need to learn who you really are, weaknesses included.

hehe considering how awesome I am, if someone doesn't want me, I wonder what's wrong with THEM! :D This page - I don't know why I feel a little disturbed that Sarah and Janey talk at all... Probably because the only way I've made serious breakups work (that is, we stay broke up, not have a series of breakups/get-back-togethers..., avoid sex for 'old-times-sake'...) is to spend a long period of time with little to no contact, especially as good friends... After a period of time then we could to a lesser extent, but never as before... That probably says more about my limitations than anything... Anyway, this is a great page - really feels real!
