Udyr: That's pretty damn creepy! lol What really gets me going on stuff like that is wondering the next morning whether what I saw was real, partly dreamt, or some kind of trick of the light but being convinced that what I did see was for real.

Bear: I love psychology and how easily we can be conditioned by our emotions. Sometimes it feels scary too as we all like to think we make sensible decisions and choices in life but subconscious feelings can affect the way we think and I quite like how Sarah can be relieved to be proven right by logic one moment and then lose it again to irrational fear the next.

Tommym: I had my grandads old reel to reel but it didn't record any better than my cassette recorder and it was really hard to find anything on there so I eventually took it up the dump but I did rescue the valves as I love those things (cos they look like little rockets!).

Kim: Becky chose the colour/design for the duvet way back so she was ruled on that but it's interesting how it suited the final panel here so well. As for Sarah's paranoia, that's an interesting point, I see her being caught in the same way someone who suffers panic attacks is, in that each new scare leaves her more convinced that there really is something to be afraid of!

DV: I was originally going to have a CD player but nowadays a power cut normally makes stuff like that go off and stay off. The reel to reel though as you say, still seemed in keeping with the games room so if felt okay to use that. You're right about her fear too, poor Sarah's going to keep wondering if the house is really haunted or if she's just letting her imagination get the better of her. The case for a haunting though does get stronger as the story moves on. ;)

I actually did this exact same thing a few weeks ago, my friend was sleeping next to me and I woke up by her sitting up in the bed (we shared). I just felt her sit next to me for a while, and as i couldnt sleep since the bed was crap i decided to take my blanket out to the livingroom and sleep in one of the couches there... But as I did i felt she still hadnt moved, i even saw her sit there just staring into nothing. When i walked to the door i finally got the guts to look at her to check what the hell she was doing but, she was in the same spot laying down sleeping like she always did. So who the hell did i just see sitting up in our bed? And i realized as time went that the back of the head i saw sitting up, wasnt hers... Yeah i slept on that couch that night. XD

Ah, that brings back memories...I had a reel-to-reel, in the 60s, as a kid (12). I used to record Top 40 stuff off Radio Luxembourg or Top of the Pops, to fill in all those hours when there wasn't any music, pre Pirate Radio and very pre Radio One etc. I see I'm not the only one chucking in an extra page this week, too ! ....the mind is a very mysterious thing and does lots of weird thing to us. I know mine certainly does ! B-)

Dear Sarah, Agree with all of you. Mind can play some real tricks on some one especially if they are mental:) I had a reel to reel in early 1970's, if a piece of music was say, 1 hour long, it would take 1 hour to tape it. Still want a real ghost LOL tommym

Poor Sarah!! It'd be bad enough if a real ghost was intruding into the relationship, but what if it's Sarah's own mind - how do you stop that?!! Love conquers all!!!! Except Ghosts - haha (real or mental)!!!! Gorgeous page!! I especially love the duvet draped around Sarah - that pattern laid over it works wonderfully!!

Doesn't matter if the house really is or isn't haunted, if you truly believe it is, that is what your body reacts to ... Sometimes, 'hauntings' are simply a way for your brain to justify or interpret the feelings of the body (not all though, some hauntings are real, or at least not just your imagination) ... Do like the old-style reel-to-reel player, it does fit in with the rest of the house and Lucy's dads' possessions
