Bear: That's an interesting point and I think possibly most to do with the fact that our eyesight is the one sense we rely on most. Strange smells, weird sounds and even something touching our skin are all sensations that might arouse or curiousity or disturb us but we nearly always rely on our vision to evaluate the truth which is the one thing total darkness takes away from us. I've had daymares a few times too though and Sarah will have one of those in a few pages time!

Kim: I guess I should have expanded more but I have so many pages left to do that I try to keep moving as much as possible without trying to expand on the page number if I can help it. I try to find a balance between conversations I feel really need a lot of attention and those I feelcan be skipped over more lightly. Your perception is right though, I think Sarah finds little comfort in having her experiences brushed aside so easily and it's starting to make her feel pretty alone.

DV: I know it's been a long time but when Sarah first moved into her lodgings she agreed to babysit for her landlady's children on Tuesday nights while her and her husband went on some strangely secret night out. The plan the girls formed to find out what that secret is was discussed by Alison and Jenny at the beginning of the party. (p125)
