SS6 45 Sarah makes a decision

It could of course just be any old bird sitting on a vaguely relevant sign as Sarah happened to walk past, but I prefer to think it's our regular feathered pest. ;) The question is, could Lenore have an interest in what's going on with Laura or does she have some other personal interest in Sarah?
Next week: There's tension at Carlingford as Sarah struggles to find her voice and Ron seems concerned about her wellbeing!

DV: The truth in this case will certainly cause a great deal of unhappiness all round, but we shall have to wait and see who the real casulaties are and who gets hurt the most.

That damned crow again hahah....!! Well... I'm very curious about what sort of theological inspiration Sarah just got!! Heck, I'm deeply curious as to how all this will resolve at all, and I'm having the hardest time seeing how Sarah is going to come out of this in a happier state... Maybe your adept storytelling will delightfully pull a surprise on me again!! Great work again!!

Kim: I know, lol I couldn't resist. ;) The outcome isn't so good for Sarah in either direction unfortunately but I can't say more than that right now. We have a few surprises coming up for sure but nothing too wild and crazy. I've tried to to keep this at ground level all through, just like the previous chapters and although we have Lenore and her crow adding a spectrum of fantasy to the story now I've also tried to leave the reader thinking they could just be a product of Sarah's imagination.

Oh, so now Sarah is going to tell the truth... May be reckless, but then again, if you can't open up to the girl you love, what kind of a relationship is that? What kind of live is it? I'd say, go for it!

I really can't see why S has to pretend everything is ok... but then she has a history of opacity and skirting the truth in an attempt to avoid hurting others' feelings. Although in one sense she's trying to be kind, she's really just being controlling and fearful of conflict. As she gets older and more secure in herself she will surely become more honest.

Fred: I know, she annoys me too! I think if she knew why the parents had lied she would have made a decision much earlier but it's the fact she was warned by Ron to stop digging up the past and the fact it's such a cruel thing to have done to Lucy that Sarah hesitates about just blurting out what she knows.

She has to _pretend_ because everything _isn't_ OK: Laura is still alive and (reasonably) well, which means that someone is being lied to, and not just Sarah (the problem she has is, she's not sure how much Lucy _really_ knows, or how she will react)

Tommym: Yea, I think Sarah's at the point where she feels the relationship is ruined unless this new evidence proves to be wrong. She can't live with a lie and no doubt feels angry that her and Lucy have been kept in the dark about the truth for so long.
