Just to clarify: Before Lucy was born, Ron had an affair with his bosses wife Catherine but when she discovered she was pregnant with Laura she decided to end the affair and let her husband believe it was his child to save her marriage. Ron knew nothing about this until she contacted him 8yrs later with a plea for him to adopt her daughter as she herself was dying of cancer.
As we discussed last page, the truth about who is Laura's real father still remains to be proven but for the time being Ron is happy to believe he is, despite the problems her arrival has caused. His wife Helen has her concerns about the truth but now she's aware that the girls have formed a more intimate relationship it's clear she has to rethink the possibilities!
Next week: As Ron avoids the situation, Helen takes steps to keep the girls apart!

Echoing others, love that top panel...!! Getting all symbolic, it's like he's looking into an old jukebox, picking out and playing old songs... like old memories... Love the panel at the bottom too, and how this whole thing is unfolding... At this point, I'm just kinda glad he didn't have a son and Lucy wasn't into boys... :D

Kim: I was looking for a more interesting pose to put Ron in other than just sitting on the sofa and the juke box felt like a good idea as he's a guy whose very nostalgic and loves collecting toys and games etc. That's true about Lucy too as they could have had some very serious problems to deal with!

Dear Sky, Great point of view depicted in top panel. Old Jute boxes have become valuable in the States. I think only a paternity test will resolve the "who is Laura's father" question. Do I see a face on the tree? Want Lucy and Laura to be together "forever" tommym

The face in the tree is just a quirk of nature but DV mentioned it the first time we saw the tree so I felt it was worth keeping. ;)

Oh, now I'm more and more convinced that he's not Laura's dad and his wife used Laura's and Lucy's relationship as a good excuse to get rid of Laura.

Yeah, getting the impression that Helen is bad one in this story, and she didn't want to have Laura 'pretend' to die but Ronnie, sensibly, wasn't going to go that far
