Ep. 1 Page 10

It's hard to fit text into vertical speech balloons… but it's easier to fit vertical speech balloons into panels… argh.
Some character's names were chosen to be of a sort of iconic/symbolic nature to me, the others are more or less obscure references… the Kingsley one is less obscure I think.
EDIT: Thanks, DAJB *takes a bow*
Midge, thanks but I'm afraid the answer is no (if I understood your question correctly). Naomi is at home, this building's location has not been revealed… yet.
ipokino: I'm used to using balloons but maybe it's time to break the rules ^^

Interesting... very detective like but very interesting!

What DAJB said here is spot on. Sometimes I have a huge problem with the lettering and balloons, since I hate to cover some of the art I do for the comic. Like, the sofa. It looked SO PRETTY! But of well ;) And just to comfort you, you're doing a great job here :)

You did well, and I agree with your sentiments. I tend to use square-sided 'balloons' which makes things a bit easier, but still...

this page is very coherent and flows nicely and I also caught the memory recognition of what miss sophie said...great stroytelling on this page...so our female lead is at the building where this thing busted out, right?

Yup - lettering is definitely part science and part witchcraft! Using shorter words helps, but then they don't always suit the character. If it's any consolation, I think you managed it as well as it could be on this page. Take a bow!
