Bowling Pt. 4
antcomics on Jan. 28, 2008
Marco can't stop thinking about corn dogs. Now I can't either…
Mmmmmmm…..
I really liked how the scene with Adam falling backward with all the bowling balls falling around him came out. I was worried I couldn't pull that off.
Hey y'all! I have an announcement to make. This is Antcomics Strip #72. 75 is fast approaching so I decided, starting now, and ending at Numero Seventy Cinco, I am going to slip various cameos in from my faithful readers…
Today we have Frank and Vinny (appearing as bowling balls—sorry, I couldn't resist, Crocty!)who seem to like to pop up everywhere these days. Visit the two loveable stick guys in their adventures here:

Also, Rutger has popped by in that last panel from “Life as Told By Rutger.” He has many comics here at DD. Check him out:

More to come! Stay tuned!

You NAILED the expression in the third comic (.....). I've looked at it like 3 times now and I still laugh each time. It helps if you have "Whatchoo talkin' 'bout Marco" running through the back of your mind.

hahaha! holy shit i'm giggling like a little 3 year old girl! hahaha!
Kimhura at 2:03PM, Jan. 29, 2008
Brilliant! I love the bowling balls xD I'm not sure if I've ever had a corn dog before, does that make me deprived? I'll have to try one when I get the chance 8]

I didn't notice it was frank and vinny till you pointed it out. But I do see it now. Cute

that is a pretty great fall scene. good strip. though... i've never been so hungry for a corndog. -J.
antcomics at 1:54PM, Jan. 29, 2008
Thanks everyone! Yeah, I haven't craved a corndog in years. To answer the line quality question --it may be ny new scanner, may be that I darkened the lines a little more than usual. I have started to manually tweek my comic strips instead of using 'auto correct.' Also--fan art to the first person who can spot the major screwup that I didn't discover till I posted this--haha. ^_^

COOL! ^_^ It's probably a good thing that you're starting early with cameos...(No sense burning yourself out!) F&V look great as bowling balls! *LOL* XD I think Adam came out great with the falling bowling balls--and I LOVE his ending line! *ROFL* (Can't wait to see more!) =D

Who can't stop thinking about corndogs? I like a nice five pound pink ball for bowling, myself!
TheMidge28 at 1:30PM, Jan. 29, 2008
fantastic job on this page Amy! ditto what madscott asked... the cameos are like a cherry on top of this delicious sndae of a page! Yum!

Another wonderfully paced bit of comedy. I especially like your rendering of pants. Odd thing to say, I know. But I like it.
madscott at 1:19PM, Jan. 29, 2008
Did you change how you scan / something. The lines look darker but I like it.
Bocaj at 1:17PM, Jan. 29, 2008
Great comic! You pulled of the falling Adam perfect. Both art wise and corndog-I mean humor wise a great success. ...corndogs... Also, yay for F&V&Rugter!
crocty at 1:15PM, Jan. 29, 2008
Also, that looks very much like Rutger.
crocty at 1:13PM, Jan. 29, 2008
At the third panel I saw Marco's humorous bowling ball, then I saw the one behind him and I noticed it! :D You rule, Amy! *smiles like a loon*
Hogan at 1:13PM, Jan. 29, 2008
I think Adam would be much better off settling for that corndog... but then again, this is way more fun for us :P And off course we'll stay tuned! I need to keep an eye on your shennigans here, especially now ;)
