I was thinking it was just that Zeno was a grape feeding machine, but yeah, it makes more sense that she just wasn't ready to hear that. I guess in his head Zeno's much farther along this relationship than she is in real life... I feel sorry for him. I've done similar things far too many times. Menu - never one to waste food!
