Zerlocke is a really sad character, isn't he? His father beat him, making him already think that pain is love, and then he is caught up in an abusive relationship that has beat that belief even further into him. Not once has he felt love without also feeling pain, believing that is the only way he can be loved. I know it's terrible for my favorite character Zeno, but I kinda wish Zer and Mye would get together, at least for a little while. Zer really needs to learn what compassion really is.
