NLI: About that dentist, naw Charby only bit him, didn't suck the blood out of it though. there woulda had to have been more saliva exchanging for him to turn into a vampire. On the other hand, Mr. Noodle, a vampire dog, can turn someone with just a bite, but Hector is a werewolf and not a vampire...*mystery!* Generic human: A little bit of both, just about every brush I use I have custom made or drawn to use for the backgrounds, for the most part I draw backgrounds in photoshop with the mouse though.
