I'm pretty sure I've dropped more than enough hints about the hat being a little self aware in the past, if they didn't clue ya in then this should! It sucked his head up into the portal, it did.
No comment on why it did though ^_^

I love the little touches of the Hat (and portal within) being self-aware! It seems to have its own personality, in a very odd way. Also, I saw some people talking about the Hat being interested in Mye now too, and I was surprised - I read it as the Hat being jealous over Kavonn, which makes more sense to me. . .

i dont think the hat is female but i do believe that it is a collective consiousness that was fond of Kavonn when it met him and they cursed/blessed him with being it's guardian and does like watching over him.
