Captain Death: well, the best I can describe them is fae cheek pigmentation, since fairies and Onekamari both have these discolored patches on their cheekbones. It's been mistaken for blushing before, but I assure you every time Daray's been drawn they're present! (though looking back, they were a little too light with my coloring in the past!) I'm just a little dumbfounded since the last short/kid character that was introduced was Crispo, and that was ages ago! Just please try to understand that I have my reasons for things like this! I don't want to spoil too much of the story trying to attempt to explain it though... well, one reason I might mention, even though I don't have the intention of hooking up any characters right now, one must admit having dating characters that appear to have a rather large disparity in age can be taken out of context, especially to someone not familiar with the beings in this comic. So for any potential romantic interests, I don't intend to "pair off" characters that look adult with ones that look like children, despite the fact that they are NOT children. That means if I do want to approach another romantic angle, I need characters that fit the bill, so to speak. Now mind you, this is NOT why Yiska is here (oh goodness, don't get me started on characters that are created for the sole purpose of being another character's girlfriend/ boyfriend!) but it's good to have options, right? Also a simple enough reason that the characters are similar heights in the cabin (excluding Azelea and Daray of course) is because one, people (even monsters!) tend to gravitate to other people who have things in common with them. They're friends because they're all eye-to-eye with each other (well, and other reasons but that's a good reason too!) and a bunch of tall characters in the house would mean a lot of the shorties end up talking to people's crotches. You recall what being a short kid was like? You have to talk up to everyone! I can understand if you find the addition of another short character perhaps annoying or something, but I'm a little surprised you would say it's "boring"! I think it's more boring to get more characters that look and act exactly like the already established characters, if ya ask me ^_^ If it gives you any comfort though, this is probably the last "short" new character that will be introduced to the cast (or is she going to be part of the cast at all!?) Believe me, I didn't just throw her in here at random, it'll become a little clearer later once we find out what she wants here!

Anonymous: I'm not certain if you're aware, but alps really aren't kids, they're just short like many other fay/goblin creatures. I've introduced SEVERAL characters in the recent past that were adult-proportioned (6 more Elites, Lezzaria, Princess Ervaine, Rena (Zeno's sister) and Arista, so I can't see how you're bored with just one more short-statured creature in the cast!

@Onasaki: I'm not sure that is true, at least the kid part. Kavonn anyway is certainly not a kid, he isn't even really shaped like a kid anymore IMO. I think Kavonn is more akin to some sort of elf at this point in that he is an adult but just really short. I mean at the very least I think we know Kavonn likes to look considering some of the outfits he has magiced women into.
