This webcomic is supposed to update on Tuesday and Thursdays. I feel bad when the schedule slips. So while I feel the need to explain why pages are late when they don't meet the deadline, that doesn't mean I'm whining about it! So sue me, I feel permanently guilty! Sincerely, I feel I owe an explanation to youse when I don't make the date. If I updated randomly then my explanations would seem odd, but I set a schedule, Tuesday and Thursday, and when I don't make it I feel bad for those who waited up for the page. I don't want to dedicate filler to the wait (if I had time to make filler I had time to sit down with the page and finish it!) and people might overlook it if I leave a comment to alert people like I did today. I just wanted to get that off my chest, sure the comment hurt my feelings but I forgive you. I'm just as much to blame for not keeping my Thursday update in line, you probably think this comic just updates Tuesday and then whenever after that.
Maybe if I abused more of the emotes I made, people wouldn't assume the wrong inflections on my post. But it is such a bother to get them… Talking like an Elcor is a little harder to write out when you just want to get the update going. By the time I'm done with my pages I'm so drained that I don't know what to say, anyway! I'm always excited to post the new page and don't think about what I'm writing here with the same standard I apply to the comic. Thursday may be a Friday update as well because I hafta finish this month's donation poster. I really liked January's poster, and since we didn't get to give many out I'm gonna make this month a twofer. I'll make something special for those who got the poster already though ^_^ Things are packaged up to go in the mail, we made it to the post office in time to send exactly one…and stock up on supplies so next time we make it to the PO right before it closes we can send a good deal more. Augh, I hate that Nick has had to work on the weekends and then come home and do more work! Thankfully his project should be letting up, if not we'll need to beg for a day off so we can get stuff done!
And big secret will be revealed soon. Keep an eye here for it ^_^
Anyways, seems that there was some confusion on the last page that Yiska supposedly kissed someone. She didn't actually shapeshift and seduce Zerlocke, she was thinking about it though! It was supposed to be a daydream and I might not have done too good a job blurring the line. But you oughta know Zerly by now, Mye could clone herself for Zerlocke and he'd complain that it's not the original! He'd greet Bunny-Yiska with either disinterest at best, or hat-slapping indignation like Tony did. So Yiska has kissed a grand total of 1 boy since moving in, but made quite a few more feel a little awkward.
Kavonn of course feels bad for telling everyone he's not helping, because now Mye's gonna do it. Her brother doesn't seem to have the same compulsion to help everyone here…he's busy with other things right now though TWC vote incentive today is the art in the 4th panel unobstructed by dialogue and heads. ^_^ Well, I guess that's it for now, I'll see you guys later, got some posters to finish off now! Toodles!
Really good artwork, but a little overdone. Maybe consider less shading, because the shadow detail is far more complex than the actual character models.
You dont have to apologize... its your comic and you decide whenever to put out your comic... i dont care if it is 1 each month or 27 each month i love it too much for that....
and to the comic.... ohhh hilarious hexy... looks so cute when blussing :P
are you really sure this is mono... as i remember its the chance of getting it is lower than 40% and everyone having it whoa O_O
i miss scenes with charby on hunt for chickens which you had in the old days... cant those come back
and yet again dont apologize about the late arrivals it gave me some time to read your comic all over :P
I like to think that the cure she creates actually generates nuclei, rather than eliminating the virus! (I realize this would not actually cure the infection in any way, but I find it funny)
Also, I'm pretty excited about this secret! I'm figuratively at the edge of my seat! If this keeps up, I might end up there physically too.
Just gonna pop on in and answer some questions!
@Arkonos: sure, you may use any of my emotes that you want! That's what they're there for ^_^ I have them all in my forum, and I'll make a library of them on photobucket or something and give you a link if you like ^_^
@Doodlesthe Bear: Aw, of course I care! Some might say a little too much sometimes...you're all like friends and family to me!
@theBSDude: Amusement: Haha!
@corruption: hehe, unless she's inoculated against it being that she's a member of a dimension hopping agency ^_^ Yes, mono is spread that way but Mye doesn't necessarily have to kiss someone on the mouth to make it work, though that *does* make the process faster... no real scientific reason behind it, just the way the magic works!
@ergotoxin: Aw, have a little confidence in me! I did the research before I went in, but now I gotta resist the spoiler-spilling urges because you brought up some fine points on the more suspicious aspects. But to divert attention now I'll just give you this response! In a world where monsters and magic are real (totally think of that in a Don LaFontaine voice!) and we got characters with prehensile hair and magic wands, perhaps the idea of them all contracting infectious mononucleosis isn't beyond the realm of possibility! Either that, or it's something that's pretty well known without explanation, carries implications (kissing disease) without being filthy (umm...like STDs) and can cause tension amongst the characters and their relationships without being a huge deal. But Hexavier claiming it's mono and the crew blindly agreeing with him isn't really an endorsement by the author that they actually have mono, I'd point out!
Ka-Rin: Aww, thank youse! Well, I worry about your worrying, and it's all a spiral of worry! Eek!
meemjar: Haha, now that you mention it, I can see that now!
Weertangel: Oh, it should be arriving soon, you were the lucky one that we made it to the post office and sent like a minute before they closed the doors! Your picture is nearly done, I apologize but...I had to do it digitally because someone *glares in cat's direction* decided to use the original for a litterpan... but I saved the digital scan for just such disasters, sadly it wasn't colored yet! I hope to get that to you either today or tomorrow though, and if it's not in your email then, feel free to bother me about it!
@Skulls: Hehe, thanks! I spent a long time on it so I'm glad you enjoyed it. And as for poor Tony...he's glad for your concern!
Well, Amy, take your time, your art is still one of the best online if u ask me.
only thing i ask of you is this: could i get my prize at last from Oktober??? waiting is getting annoying.. and might cheer me up since i'm sitting home with a broken rib(ppl really don't watch out on the road these days..)
For the rest, best of luck!!
Wooooo!!!!! Yiska stole the page better than Richard would in LFG.
Asside from that. Amy youse big girl we jest wories about youse when der page is lates. It's one of those annoying curses that goes with fandom.
I know I can't speak for everyone when I say this but it's best for you to take your time for two reasons.
First a fully done take your time page beats a speedilly done page just to make deadline.
Second -grabs and shakes- youse has to stay healthies... now that I think abot it shaking you is counterproductive to that point. -stops-
Well I think that covers everything for now. -clicks teh donation key and looks for potential motivators/avies in teh page-
As much as I love the comic this storyline is bugging me a little. Actually only about 10-15% of population can ever have mono in its noticable form, so the chance they all would be ill (and even on the same day!) is rather small.
Ofcourse, maybe fae aren't that immune. Or it isn't mono at all, who knows.
But anyways, great work on the strips! 4th panel was for sure surprising.

No complaints here Amy. Your pages are worth the wait. Would you say that Yiska is to my character 'Stacks' as Mye is to Veri?

And in 4 weeks, SHE will have mono. Oh, if mono spreads by saliva, wouldn't Mia's healing kisses just be reinfecting the others after they are healed?

Astonishment: Not one Elcor emulation. Aside: Until now.
