#868 The Decision

A meat locker? But of course, those things don't eat air after all! And if anyone might be wondering, yes there's a loading dock on the other end of the room in this fridge, but Tony can't exactly take that exit, eh?

If you'll recall, Olaf was killed by a hunter that was sent after Tony, as the hunter claimed, by his own mother. (hence why he says it's ironic, y'know!) There's more to the story, and I'm working on the comic that tells that story as we speak! (I'm trying to use this week to get that finished too)

Sorry this didn't get done on Thursday or Friday, Photoshop refused to let me save the document and only by hours of importing and piecing back things together did I save the progress (I had one earlier version saved without text, but I'd made a lot of changes I didn't want to lose after that save and wasn't expecting the lockup on the RAM!)
Also, while this process looks better in my opinion, it takes sooooo long to clean up (pencils have little smudges no matter how much I clean it up before scanning it!) so while I intend to use this a little more often, probably will reserve it for pages where it really would benefit from the art lift! Besides, I got inks for several pages waiting to be finished, and I'm not keen to start from square one again on those because I found a better way. I'll just put a little more effort into making the inks look as decent as the pencils! (it's hard because they do such different things…)

Ah, I suppose also I should say thanks for all the nominations, I didn't tell you guys the DD awards were going on because last year people were being rather sore about how I didn't win anything. That's what happens when you have a comic that's at least decent in multiple areas, but isn't a shining example of 1 thing in each category. I hope that this year everyone will be a little more gracious when the results are read…winning isn't everything, and while I'd like to win something this year it's not gonna break my spirit if I don't! I'm doing this comic for you, and my quest for improvement is a personal goal, not something to win contests with. :)
