In regards to the previous page and this one: Fairy blood is intensely magical, and the taste is very cloying, like drinking luke-warm corn syrup.
A vampire with a sweet tooth might enjoy draining Fairies, but for all but the most sugar-fiending vampire it's simply too much and makes one feel nauseated. Mortals, especially humans which can be turned into vampires, taste the best by design. Vampires with higher fiend energy, and other creatures with fiendish energies (demon folk like the Orycalopes for example) are also pretty tasty to vampires, but they benefit differently from their blood.

Ka'le is both honored blood mage... and rather trapped servant. I suspect that King Roderick might make sure that Bojo is safe, just to make sure Ka'le is happy. Because a happy honored member of the Court works better than an angry and threatened prisoner.
