Interesting fact: Blood is used to make all kinds of dishes in all corners of the globe. There's blood pudding (a.k.a. Blutwurst) - a sausage made with blood. In Scandinavia they have svartsoppa (soup made of coagulated blood), blood pancakes and blood dumplings. In Hungary, after pig slaughter they serve blood fried with onions for breakfast. In Vietnam there's cold blood soup. In Korea they use blood to make soup to cure… hangovers. And last but not least, there's (WARNING: vegetarians and vegans might want to stop reading here)…………………………………….. blood tofu. Which is basically blocks of coagulated blood.
Sorry for no updates all last week! First there was Christmas - with lots of food and merriment - and then there was work work work! Aaanyway, hope everyone had a fun New Year's Eve! Happy 2011!
Well, those blood sausages are going to be disappointed since hot dogs are more 'meat by-product' than meat. ;) Also, blood tofu sounds horrible and BARF!
