Prolog-Pg.17

Pywan: This word simply refers to all nine goddesses and the one god that make up the Summoner's belief system. Just wanted to clear that up. There's a similar word, Pywai, which can mean any one of the goddesses/god.
BLARG… so tired. BUT SO HAPPY. It makes me so happy that you guys have been asking so many questions and expressing so much interest in the magic system and so on for this story. It makes me feel all special and stuff that I finally made something that people are interested in. >.<
Granted, I've been working on this story, and the world it's set within, for like… /thinks/ eight years or so. Anyway, since it's a new page, let's get some more info out there!
Magic in the Cohime universe is something that literally speaks for itself. Whenever a mage uses magic, the power s/he uses will ‘whisper’; a faint signature other mages can sense that directly SAYS what the spell is meant to do. Be it for light, heat, cold, moving water, cutting stone, ect., ect., ect.. Since it's just a whisper, it's easy to ignore in most cases, and practiced mages don't even notice it most of the time.
Then there's hostile magics. When a mage summons their power with the intent to trap, harm, or to force a person to do something against their will (including imprisonment), the magic will scream instead of whisper. This is a painful thing that wrenches at the senses of other magic-users, letting pretty much everyone know that shit is going down and who is doing it. Proof that the Pywan never ment their power to be used for war.
Some schools of magic (such as the temple in Dritar) teach disciplins that allow a mage to mute the screaming of hostile magic, but it can't be fully silenced in most cases, barring one.
BUT I'll talk about that next time! :D Just to give you something to be excited for… MEOW.

oh how Magic would scream as i make people who attack me dance for me like meat puppets. 'evil laugh' seriously though, i'm rather unconfrotational, they leave me alone, i don't make them puppets.

You are doing a great job on introducing things at a good pace. And with so many updates every week, I don't think anyone can be angry at you. After all, it takes time to make great stories. This has me thinking.. this is only the prolog, then what awesome things will happen in the real story?

Thank you Strain... I knew I had to introduce everything bit by bit, or it would be too much to swallow. >.< But the prolog is almost over, and I feel like I've hooked a couple people into caring enough about what happens next. HAPPY FACE.

You're doing a good job of weaving it into the story. We ask questions, but it comes up in the story. I see this series so far as one big picture that we're sitting near. The more we back up, the more we see, and it's shaping up to be, if I may say one, one purty picamature :P (I mean that in the best way, of course)

I like the idea what when using magic, it actually talks. Something originally. And of course people are going to ask questions about comics that are really good ^_^
