Albone: Oh, I just didn't *pick* a happy cowboy song. :)
If you're interested, there are actually a number of them in a book called _Cowboy Songs and Other Frontier Ballads_, which is where I learned the one Zeke mentions here. Written/collected by John A. Lomax and Alan Lomax and originally published in 1910, it's a book full of songs from the frontier. Because the copyright was renewed in 1938, I didn't share the full text, but apparently the 1916 version is available on Google Books. It's well worth checking out!
Brilliant art work by Rick here. I love that Kai has a playful side, and will have to find a way for that to come up in the script!
Y'know, not to be picky but there aren't too many 'happy' cowboy stories. Least of all, Zeke losin his hat! Of course, if it's to impress a girl, I endorse it. Zeke's a standup guy, not blaming his ills on anyone but himself.
Best picture of Kai ever!
I knew a guy in junior high named Joe Johnson. Thought he was a ninja. Told me that ninjas could catch bullets in their teeth. This was during the 1980s, see, when everybody loved ninjas and guys like Michael Dudikoff and Sho Kosugi ruled the silver screen.
The next update should have Zeke catching a bullet in his teeth, NINJA-STYLE. C'mon, Alana, you know you want to. :D

She's vogue-ing. Kai is truly a woman ahead of her time. And I think Zeke is on to something there.
