Echoes Through Time - Pg 114 "The Light"

cru on Sept. 1, 2009

An actual update? You bet your squishy ass it is! Uther's Aura of Repentance has the Scarlet guards on their knees and unable to defend Grand Crusader Dathrohan no matter how many orders he shrieks. Looks like the hammer is about to fall and fall hard.

You've probably noticed the lack of updates recently. I've been playing nursemaid lately so I've been occupied. My mother is out of the hospital but is unable to take care of herself and the nursing homes in the area are full so the burden landed in the family's lap. Her doctor won't prescribe her the medicine she needs because she's out of the hospital and there's no way of keeping track of her vitals to make sure the meds don't alter them drastically. We can't even find a fucking nurse to visit her at home.

On top of that I've also lost my job. I guess employers don't like it when you have to skip out on work, even if it's to take care of a sick family member. It's much easier to fire you and find a replacement than to put up with your excuses, right? I have no idea what I'm going to do besides hope my family will help me. I have been trying to stay positive but the stress of the situation weighs so heavy on me that I slip in and out of depression and anxiety regularly. I can't even get a decent night's sleep.

I've been doing a lot of serious thinking lately about numerous things and I've decided it's time for change. I'm not happy with the way things are and I need to figure out how I can improve my life. One way is that I've made the decision to start dieting to lower my high blood pressure and cholesterol, which I began doing on August 29th. With zero health care and no money I literally can't afford the risk and need to take steps to get back in shape.

While I try to work things out the comic updates will be sporadic. I thank you all for your patience (if you have any) and I hope to return to normal at some point. When that will be I haven't the slightest idea.

9-3-09: An enormous thanks to everyone for their support. Your encouragement and donations help me greatly and it's heartening to know the fans are willing to lend a hand to a stranger.
