Happy Friday, everybody.

I hope you are ready for the weekend. Mine will be spent working in the yard if the rain will stay away. I don’t know what it has been like in other parts of the world but this has been a wet spring in this part of Indiana. At least the area farmers have been able to get into the fields, unlike the spring of 2019. Crops got planted pretty late that year.

Danielle is getting her things out of the car for her stay at the Hansen farm. Hmm. I wonder what she has in the cooler.

So that's where all our rain has gone. ;) Farmers over here keep watching the weather reports nervously because, while there are some showers every now and then, it's just not quite as much as it should be, as it wasn't in most of the last years. During the winter months we could have done with quite a bit less, on the other hand. That's what climate change does, so I'm afraid we'd better get used to it. And just in case anyone wonders why I presume to know something about this: one of my two teaching subjects being geography, part of my job is teaching meteorology basics to kids (as well as farming basics and many other things) and unlike said kids I do my homework regularly and thoroughly at all times. I'd sometimes rather look into coolers whose contents are none of my business.

From the weather forecast, it appears the rain will be here off and on for the rest of the week. I would gladly send it your way. Looking into Danielle's cooler might be harmful to your health if she were to catch you in the act.

The cooler has her supply of SPF 1,000,000 sunblock and a few litres of AB+. It has significant issues to be used in a surgical environment, but Danielle and her mom can use it, no problem.

or she gets various animal blood from a butcher, Ox blood isn't that unusual (some dishes call for it)

Danielle isn't too picky when it comes to blood. As long as it's red and bled, she's happy. Feeding from a bag or bottle is fine, but she does miss the thrill of the hunt sometimes. :)
