(Edit: Formerly page 14. Moved 6/25/09)
Another week and another page. I had alotta' fun drawing this one and I hope you enjoy it.
Comments on the comments from last week:
@The Gravekeeper - Thanks for stoppin' by.
@Dr. Shadow - Thanks I'm glad you like the art.
@TheMidge28- Actually it's the St. Louis Cardinals if you look at the seal on the chariot. ; )
@mattchee - Thanks alot. Having this in print is a dream of mine. Maybe I'll do it myself someday. A book that really helped me (if you don't have it already) is Gary Martin's “The Art of Comic-Book Inking. second edition” It was an eye opener for me and I can't recommend it enough.
@armandoB - thanks again.
@amanda - Cool. I'm glad you recognized him.
@darkwaterfrey - Thanks. It means alot to me that you like my work.
@literacysuks1 - Thanks for stoppin by.
@khard12- Thanks for stoppin' by too.
@machinehead - and those toads are still here this week!
@thefightingstranger - right on.
@ Hyena H_ll - Thanks for the input again. I really value your opinion. And I'm still on the fence about the nose. Who nose?
@matts - Glad you like it. Just curious – what's a TMNT?
@ttyler - thanks!
@Jabali - I'm glad you stopped by this week.
@DAJB - Thanks again for adding that link.
I hope you enjoy…

I've met stoners before....but normally they dont cause the world to end! They just sit around, talk nonsense and refuse to get jobs!

Great page.

Pfft! Daddy's girl!

First. I will be checking out the book for sure. I have heard many good things about it, now, with your rec, I will just have to get it. Thanks. I've only read Klaus Janson's book. ANother fantastic page. Loving 1st and last panel. 1st panel has some amazing composition and blacks! Last panel.. well the lighting blows my mind. And maybe these stoners need to pay attention to legend.

I also agree with Midge but I thought it was the Mummy (the old classic version), still that image evokes the feeling of madness from the stones.

Love how you worked the lights and shadows on the last panel. This is turning to be one of my favorite comics here at DD.
darkwaterfrey at 5:29PM, April 27, 2009
Whoa! This page is really well done! The storytelling is wonderful and the inking is beautiful!
machinehead at 3:17PM, April 27, 2009
Giving a stoner energy is no easy task. What a powerful stone.

I like the exposition
khard12 at 11:49AM, April 27, 2009
Great page! The line about strength and energy to the stoner made me chuckle. Have to think of "stoner" a little differently in this storyline. :)
The Gravekeeper at 11:24AM, April 27, 2009
Man, every time you tell someone NOT to do something because it will end the world, they just HAVE to do it. I remember reading somewhere that if you made a big red button in the middle of nowhere that said "DON'T push; Doomsday button" someone will push it before the paint is dry. At least this doomsday trigger seems to have had a sort of failsafe.
amanda at 8:39AM, April 27, 2009
Aww, poor kid. It's my firm belief that, when there are legends that say "don't ever EVER do this," people are totally gonna do it. "Don't put those together." BAM! Put together. My real life example is that there was a red button our vacuum cleaner that my mom told me would blow up the house if I pushed it. So naturally, I pushed it. A lot. She was lying though ^.^ Probably for the best.

great rendering in all the panels. curious to see what she does
TheMidge28 at 3:40AM, April 27, 2009
very nice exposition here and love the last panel. he reminds of Lon Chaney Jr as Frankenstein.
Doctor Shadow at 2:05AM, April 27, 2009
Wow, I love Jon's face in the last panel. The sense of power is palpable.
