This page drawn by Ed Bangalan. Top page banner lineart by me, coloured by Whirlwynd (of 20 Galaxies) and JustNoPoint (of Devon Legacy Prologue)… I'm still staring at it and wondering if I went overboard.
Read the companion comic FIGHT 1; each story follows a different group of characters in the same world.
Ed's stuff is sketchier (he's a grasshoppa at his “new” Tablet), but his figures always feel more *solid* than mine. You can see that really well in the later pages of FIGHT_1. In fact he thickens some of my lines for me in those later parts of F1.
It'll be fun seeing his version of big ol' Amok, a grizzly of a man, while I'm working on him in my pages.

Hey, grayscale is respectable! It's like that thing called mongah. *Drags Ed out to the back alley.*

Oops I wrote too soon. d0m: The reason this is not in color is because we are crappy colorists. Gray is the limit of what we can do at our level. We wouldn't even put in gray if our work didn't look unfinished without it. Actually it was a gradual thing. For the longest time I tried to get away with just one gray... then after a while mlai practically begged to bump it up to at least 3 tones of gray... true story. Oh... and we're lazy. If we could get away with doing just stick figures I'm sure we'd be doing that. ^o^ My opinion on art is: If you can get away with doing the least amount of work and get a good result then go for it!!!!!! If people don't complain then it's ok! mwahaha! >:D

Hi co-collaborator guy here... Nuada's actually on a bend, so slight incline like dune, and at a slight angle. I didn't ink in the stream on the left so it looks more like a cliff than I care to admit. He smashed right into it because he was looking back. Nuada's such a putz... ^_^ My coloring method takes too long for my tastes, and it's really not that advanced. I use a three gray pallet (light, med and dark gray... mlai approved!) and just selection the areas I want to color and fill. In photoshop in it's own layer on multiply just lasso tool, alt+mouse click for straight edges, backspace for fill. Done. I'm slow, so it takes me about an hour. No match for the coloring experts in drunkduck, but I like the resuts and it's fairly fast. I know with experience I'll blast past these kinda pages in minutes... Then again no one comments on my coloring, So I assume its at least passable. So... I'll probably keep it this way and find better shortcuts... translation: I'll be getting lazier on it... :p And as for mlai's pages in F1, I was the unofficial editor at the time, and sometimes I was sent these incomplete pages... an outline here and there, or some rain, really wasn't asking for much at the time... so why not right?
Color... LOL. I'm not JustNoPoint. That boy's a machine. I don't know how ppl like him churn out coloured pages so fast.
Color is actually easy. I just looked at a coloring tutorial and I'm currently experimenting a new method of coloring. It just takes more time though. For my pages it takes me 1 hour on the average to color them.

@ JNP: IMO it takes too long, even with the shades already laid out. Like SilentKitty said, the time consuming part is the flats. I had a taste of that when I was doing the fanart for Rapidoblue (why's that boy not updating?). Fun to do once in a while, but mindnumbing if I had to do it every page. If you actually feel like coloring something for me, I can always make some cover art for F2 for such purposes. It would give me a chance to draw some future characters LOL. As for this page: Nah, Hanno was just messing wif him... until he bit his hand! (Hanno wanted to make sure Fido kept quiet while they snuck up on Chase.)

Coloring takes much less time than actually drawing and inking to me (in general). With the way the current art looks on this page it wouldn't be too hard to color in a cel shaded method. The shades are already laid down in grey scale. That's what I'll do. Since it is a bit pointless to make fan art for you, at the end of this issue I'll choose a page to color and see how well that would work. And for this page... "Fido" was ever taken seriously as a threat before? :P

@ dom: - No, that's just the perspective. They're near a riverbank. - I am drawing. I'm finishing the inks on 17 pages that go after Ed's half of this chapter. After I'm done with that I'll take some of his 25 pages. - Color... LOL. I'm not JustNoPoint. That boy's a machine. I don't know how ppl like him churn out coloured pages so fast.

Is that a cliff he's gonna roll off? I love the art, but I'd also like to see you start drawing again. And it'd be great to see this in color...
