After an eleven-month hiatus, Fight 2 is back! No, this is not a one-page-wonder update. I have finished drawing the rest of this chapter, so I will be updating every 4 to 7 days until I finish off this chapter. At the very least.
This page drawn and colored by me. I like the look of CG colors, but it takes a while… I'm using a mouse, no tablet. Maybe I should buy one…
And no, Chase didn't fib. Knights don't fib. She merely answered his question vaguely.
"It is of no force." = It doesn't matter; it's not important.
Check out FIGHT Cast (the clickable banner above the comics page) for character profiles. It's having new updates alongside the new Fight 2 pages.

Next page update: Oct. 1st, Friday morning! @ EEN: The rest of this chapter will address that. @ Tablet: Yeah I think I want to get a Tablet just to make CG color faster; I'll still do my lineart on paper. I'm coloring with a mouse now, so the "hand-eye disconnect" is basically the same as a Tablet. @ Northstar: This page was penciled... a year ago. What you're seeing is probably (1)new art pens I bought, and (2)my CG technique, which no one sees often. Usually I either color with pencils/markers, or I coerce someone else to CG for me. @ Ed: I know that giant robot! That was my favorite cartoon when I was a wee lad in Taiwan! That and Battle Of The Planets/ Gotchamen, ofc.

I think you're right M_northstar. Looks like your patience has paid off! Yeah I agree... mlai's improved a lot over the years... I'm sure if he wanted to, he could make money as an artist...

O_o I think I just creamed my pants; do you know how long I've been waiting for this page? And there's going to be more once or twice a week? I think I just died and went to heaven. Hope the chapter's 100 pages long :-) Is it just me, or has the art style shifted in the year that's gone by? The bottom half of the page seems slightly different, more detailed and more square, somehow.

Good to see more Fighty goodness. Bad that you are still using a mouse to color!! Though you are clearly doing a fine job of it, it has got to be painful! Make your life easier with a tablet, if you can.

Hey, welcome back! The page looks good. The coloring looks good also. Good job! Getting a tablet with no screen is ok. There is a frustrating learning curve in the beginning, but once you get over that hump, then it should serve you well. For me, in the beginning it was like controlling a robot arm. I wanted it to do stuff, but I needed to learn how like a baby's first steps. After a couple of months my brain started to connect with that little dot on the screen. The general rule of thumb is to get the largest one you can afford, I got a 6x8 in the beginning, and it was more than enough. I don't use it anymore, but I like to keep it around as backup. It might be better to get a cintiq. Basically a tablet with a screen. Very little learning curve, and you can draw straight on it. These days I'm using a fujitsu t4310 laptop PC, and am very happy. Cost about as much as a cintiq, but it's my pc as well. Of course there are some draw backs as well, like if your PC goes down then you can't draw anymore, and you need to invest on a good drawing program, but I'd like to believe overall I'm saving money. Who knows in the long run, though?

If you can do this with a mouse, then not buying a tablet is a downright crime. You should definitely invest in one, but like Genejoke said, get a good one. It doesn't have to be professional, but you want some level of responsiveness. Wacom Bamboo is good, unless now, a year since my model there's an even better one.

I don't use a tablet either, I bought a cheap one to see if it was worth forking out a couple of hundred or so for a something I am not sure of and it put me off. To be fair I think it is down to that being a crappy tablet and about as responsive as an analogue mouse. great skillz indeed.

Yay! And wow, that's great for a mouse, I think! *looks forward to more all greedy-like*

Whew! I was worried Fight might have gone down for the last time! I am SO glad to see new page up! I am VERY currious as to where the rest of Chase's companions went....very currious indeed.
