I will be updating every 4 to 7 days until I finish off this chapter. This page drawn and colored by me.
Hey, page #100! Not counting fillers etc! And it's a good page to start off the next 100.

I'm afraid my knowledge of Middle English is entirely anecdotal, and not at all extensive. I do have some feel for languages, though, and - at least as far as keeping my "thees" and "thoues" streight is concerned - my bit of highschool German and myself coming from the traditions of an inflected language (Persian) probably gives me an edge over some native English speakers. About the page: Whoa! replacing the gradient really made the page so much more effectful, it was amazing before, but now it's downright awesome, although the smaller stones in the upper left have all but disappeared (maybe tweaking your compression settings when converting to JPEG will help with that?).

Yeah I think that works. I thought the gradient was a good choice, but it was a tough problem... I'm actually glad you tried it. Well... now that I think about it, my problem was that the background black was a different black than the lines. I think the lines should be the definitive black of the page and everything else should not be darker than that... I do however notice a big improvement on your page, though... and in the end these are just nit picks. It was and is still a very good page. True true... I almost forgot that we have a lot of fun drawing and writing this comic. I can't even count how many times I experimented on this comic because there wasn't pressure to create a house style. Good call. :-)

[b]@ Ed #2:[/b] Okay, argh, I edited the page. Took a while messing with the lasso and the wand. It looks better without the gradient, I think. Helps make the figure even more sinister. Now the red is definitely needed so ppl don't miss the figure.

[b]@ Ed:[/b] Ah you mean the faint white outlines. It didn't bother me because it helped the falling rocks stand out, but I can see what you mean. Argh, now that I see it, it bothers me. But no way am I going to try to fix it. I'm going to leave this CG shading technique behind, come the next chapter. I'm going to try just going with heavy black inks and pencil grays, with a more "loose" art style. Think... [u]Lone Wolf & Cub[/u] inks. If that works well, it would also mean I can produce pages faster. (That would also mean I can make [u]Fight 1[/u] pages, and all you'd have to do is make text, no shading.) I think that's the advantage of working on something purely for fun. I can try whatever I want, whenever I want.

Wow. I can't believe it's already 100 pages. Congratulations! Another quality page. I like how you drew the Barbarian in the center. A very powerful image. One thing bothers me about the blacks... The transition to the drawn pencil/ink. I don't know if it's bad or not, but it just looks like it's done by a computer. You did a much better transition in panel 3 than in panel 4, but with the gradient it's more difficult to make it look more smooth... @EEN: Yeah like mlai said I'm still on board. Bittertea did an amazing job on her pages. I understand, though when life gets in the way sometimes you just have to step back for a while. The first FIGHT hiatus lasted 3 years before we came back to it. I personally would like to thank Bittertea for giving us the pages she did, and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors. She's always welcome back once things settle down for her and pages can be produced within a reasonable amount of time. And for free... ugh. Not the best of offers, but oh well... JNP promised to color my chapter 17 first page, but beyond that I think he has a lot on his plate too. Like Bittertea, he's always welcome to work for free on the FIGHT series... ugh... notice a trend? ^_^ Is there any value on just working on this comic for no money? Like the satisfaction you're working on something epic?

Oh, yes, now as I look at it more, I really like the melty-drippy flashback images also! It is a great way to do it, I think...

Ed has actually finished the next chapter for [u]Fight[/u] and it's sitting there as future buffer. Ed is working on the current chapter as left by Bittertea. We'll start updating [u]Fight[/u] after we have a bit of buffer and can update regularly through 2 chapters. [b]@ Whirly:[/b] Ha, and I was debating whether I should put a primary color on it, or leave it grayscale. Now I see it was the right choice! [b]@ Northstar:[/b] (1)Hadst! AARGH! Correction made. Refresh page. Thanks! (2)She does in her internal monologues. She simply uses "you" for others' benefit; it's the only Modern English she mastered. In panel 1, I wrote "you came" instead of "thou came" because I didn't originally script that to be internal. Now corrected. (3)It's also correct to say "from whence." I choose the grammatical version that's easier for modern readers. For example... I never use "an", I use "if." (4)You can interpret that monologue either way, and it still works. In the second panel, sholdn't that be "if thou HADST"? And I thought Chase didn't use thee and thou. Also, doesn't the word "whence" include the meaning of "from"? Plus, the way you have the balloons arranged in the second panel makes it sound like she's thinking about Nuada. It might work better if you moved the "what fortunes" line to the beginning. Um... I'm going to stop being a grammar nazi now. :-)

I like that shadowy, flaming figure at the bottom - with all that was going on I didn't notice it at first, then I realized it's the only thing in color O_O

Hey the PRINCESS! Finally we saw the teaser with "The Knight and the Princess" all that time ago and it is finally her! . . . That is all I got. Thundarr look amazing thought and that is good enough for me. Can't wait for more pages. I re-read all of Fight 1 and 2 to make sure I didn't miss anything. I wonder if this page is meant to imply the group was scattered or melted into drippy wax. Cryptic but very impactful. BTW is Ed, Bittertea or JNP still involved in the Fight series?
