Hmmmmmmmmm. Should she trust him? He sure ~seems~ trustworthy, but then it also seems they've run into eachother before. Alas. Raivyn got some pretty dark eyes there… huh.
Fun Fact: The term “Grappling hook” is incorrect. The term is “Grapnel.”
I only got a few gifties done. Don't be offended if there isn't one for you- I might get to it next week.
Kalllliiiiikak: Just 'grapnel.' Amazing, no? The verb is 'to grapple,' obviously, so that's where it came from, but who'd have ker-thunk? ^_^ And you're right- usually Hawke would have lost her cookies, though she ~might~ have without us knowing. She was bent over the ship's edge in a rather awkward position.
Alejkhan: Conspiracy abound! Hopefully things will get cleared up in the next page?
Happy Octopus: I like your icon. ^_^ Raivyn likes Octopi.
Zoe: ^_~ Thanks as always, Zoe.
And another one on my list all caught up! I like this weird association/conspiracy with these other dealers in relics. But I still feel I don't know what's going on! I guess I just have to keep on reading...oh darn... ^_^
grapnel hook... or just grapnel? hmm, didn't know it either way, although, perhaps i'll put it on my list of literary crusades, right after the "anyway not anyways" one... i say, ignoring all the rest of grammer, phonics and spelling.
at any rate, 'ker-thunk' -has- to be the offical sound of grapnel hook upon wood... right out of the ol' sound effect database they keep in the basement of the NSA (its the box next to the red computer that records your thoughts!).
and here i thought temporal phase shift disruptions just involved throwing up (off panel, of course) and then all is better. kaanis apparently didn't get his phd from the sci fi channel!
Ahhhh! Everyone's posting all big-like! ^_^
AshleeS: I know, Scruffy men just make the pirate story so much more believable.
ejb: ^_^ Jenshin and I were sitting around chewing our hair because we couldn't figure out what to draw you. I mean... what do you draw for the guy who has everything? I dunno... but the Top Hat just wouldn't go away.
I think I forgot to reply about the sketchy present you sent me- but everyone on this side of the planet has seen it and all its prettiness because I'm very proud that I know someone who can draw that well. ><
Note that Kaanis DOESN'T make any point of HIS knowing how to fix Tja - just that Raivyn is ignorant. He might be one of those people who doesn't lie, but also never tells the truth? Appearance of bluff goodwill, but turly wiley?
That, and he probably smooched Raivyn at some point during a drunken party and she's never forgiven him 'cuz he bonked her nose.
The last panel face is great! He looks concerned, and tired, and with a big nose. It would seem that Raivyn isn't entirely against his coming aboard, since she isn't cutting the rope or throwing a belaying pin at his head.
Heh. EJB makes a perfect, if slightly sinister, fop. It makes me want to do another Hormuz story.
Caanis looks really good in the last panel. Though, he knows too much, methinks.
Oh, wow, thanks for the gift! It's awesome with all the lines, markerishness, and fanciful accessories.
It seems that I shall forever be linked to Lord Hormuz. He is all kinds of awesome, though, so I'm not complaining. Besides, I am known to rock an ascot whenever possible.
Did you get the sketchy present I sent to you a few days ago? I'll get to inking it... Now.
On the vote comic: You just know you've been backpacking too long when a pillow seems an alien concept.
