While Kaj stayed in Colorado, she finally forced the bottle of frisket open and made me try some. I have to admit, it's pretty awesome. My lines aren't as pretty and thin and delicate as hers, but I think it echoes my sketchy and choppy style more. It has also been noted to look more ‘wood-block’ like.
This is all automatic update, so I have no idea what my progress in Japan will be at this point- hopefully I won't be dead. Wouldn't that be weird? Like… my comic still updates after I'm dead. Creepy!
I like this peace of art very much. It has a great feel to it.
It's nice to see works from you done differently than the comic. I don't meen that you should change your style of how you do the comic, but it's just nice to see different things from you as well.
I hope you get the scanner problem solved, but better not stress about it. I hope everything else is okays in Japan ^_^
ejb- I didn't know you liked woodblocky stuff. If only I could do my whole comic this way! Still... my whole comic seems to be on a hiatus because a scanner is not magically appearing. The only one I've found is for work only. When I mentioned uploading a comic they looked horried.
Mesosan- DUDE! I emailed you.
ThingDvine- Hi hi hi! I put my address on the thingy jobby do on my live journal. I think. Anyway, I've lost your address again in the move. Well, technically I lost everyones cause I'm lame that way.
gp34- thanks!
Megoverhill- hey, long time no see. glad you caught up just in time for the radio silence that is hiatus.
..oo00OOO00oo.. So you're in Japan now? I suck, I haven't been reading! Caught up again today. I have lots of things to say to you, and as soon as I snag your mailing address, the letter wars will begin. ^_~
Firstly, hurray for not being dead!
Secondly, as a fan of wood-block printing and stamping of various sorts, I do enjoy the feel that this has. I like the limited color and how the color is uneven.
I LIVE! (can you believe it?) No sight of a scanner. I'm kind of in no mans land right now. hrm.
Respondy:
Skulldog: Mua ha ha, consider yourself fooled!
Ashlee S: Goi-gious? I think I've either lost all English I used to know or that's another language.
Jen: It's all Kaj's fault of course.
Kaj: You're biased cause you inspired it!
Lothar: It looks like a man, does it? Well shucks. Wasn't my intention, though I could see how you think that. Hawke does have a rather manly demeanor.
