011 - Grow Zeep Grow

Xade on Nov. 18, 2020

I really love the look on Zeep's face in panel 6, so much so that I made sure it wasn't distorted on the largest one. Speaking of 6 panels, don't get used to it. There was little action or background and I was ahead for last week's so I had plenty of time to add the panels this needed.

I learned a lot on this page. The distort works best on non live panels, you know, the easy fill ones. It seemed like extra work but I was able to duplicate his stripes and alter them to fit so it really took less time to convert him into objects, especially with the join tool and duplicating Zeep to keep his lines then chop what I didn't need. Panel one only took me like 20 minutes to convert.

I noticed that I am slowly getting better and faster than I used to. That thrills me because it means I am one step closer to bi-weekly updates. I can't wait until I can really tell Zeep's story. So far, in 11 chapters written, it's a doosy of a tale. Maybe one day I can do three times a week!

I would have been done with it on Wednesday, and thus been a whole week ahead but the muse was flowing, which is why I got 11 40ish page chapters done

Here's an amusing filler back from my IoX days I whipped up in Daz Studio
Link to full sized comic.

If you're still here, yeah I know I chatter a lot, Tim van de Vall gave me a his entire archive of comic book templates from Comic Book Paper. I am really stoked about it. Now it will be a lot easier to keep everything uniform and I can quickly choose a template of over 300 pdfs to save on tons of time. You have no idea on how long I spent agonizing over the page layout of the last few comics. I even went so far as to look in the comics I got from the free comic book day from my local comic shop. I am sooo glad I found his other site and sent him an email. He is super nice too.

See you next week!
