#44 Tragic Past

I needed to add a fault to Alex that can freeze him in his tracks. So I gave him such a severe case of stage fright that it could be called a phobia and a matching history to explain it. I know that it is kind of tragic, and impossible in our world, yet I strive to make it seem real.

On Xade magic talents can appear quite suddenly and at any time in the owner's life, thus a 14 year old boy or a 90 year old woman can suddenly get their talent. Though normally it happens early in life, it can happen later. The higher the degree (meaning closer to first) the more devastating it can be. Since Alex has first degree hair control, the most powerful of all, it was very violent, and because of where he was, quite tragic. Alex has a lot of skeletons in his closet, we'll probably see quite a lot of them in the course of the comic.
