Oh, apes are killers, too. They also are able to kill members of their own kind, just like humans. In fact, things are much more complicated that an assumption of an apprehended hunting instinct. After all I've read, the granny is the root of all human boom and bane.

Yeah, and also while here I referred to the "hunting hypothesis", it seems to me that the actually relevant insticts are the ones that are about social aggressivity, like the instincts about dominance, alpha maling and similar.
