Characters: Joi
Location: the woods
Anyone else know the feeling? It's a long walk yet, but when the end is in sight, it doesn't seem so hard anymore.
But why is Joi hiking across a country to reach the castle? Hm…
By the way, the sun is rising here. It's the same as the very first panel, except this shot is looking southwards and the earlier one northwards. Kothera is a temperate region with a lot of forests, many of which have been cleared for farming. It is autumn, and leaves are beginnign to fall. In case you were interested.

Yup, I know the feeling. A long walk, almost finnished with the end in sight. And then BAM! the roads out the creeks flooded and the idiot who just blew up the bridge is bounce'n up and down on the other side laughing at you...yeah, that feeling.

I totally understand what you mean. I've found in my own projects that sometimes it was a blessing to have held off on certain storylines for as long as I have, even if I was frustrated about it all the way down the line.

Wren: I'm glad too... I'm tired, but it's good to start from the beginning. Though it's a good thing I waited so long. There was a TON of plot developments that I needed to be ready for that I would have missed if I had tried this earlier!

I agree... wonderful landscape. It really gives it the wide-open, questing feeling I'm sure you were shooting for. What a great opening for introducing Joi! You know, I'm really glad you decided to go back and redo all these old sections. I think it adds so much to fleshing out your world and laying character foundations. It may be a pain in the butt sometimes, but you should be proud of all the work you've done!
