Page 002: Shadow of Asterius
El Cid on March 14, 2010
This page ought to make all the expecting mothers out there a little queasy. Seriously, if I were preggers, I wouldn't be able to look at my swollen belly without having “Alien” flashbacks.
Oh, and that personable bearded guy in the corner there is supposed to be King Minos, our lucky father-to-be. Can't you just see him bubbling over with fatherly pride? You have to look close; the bubbles are tiny.

Great Zeus! I've been waiting sooooo long for somebody to make a comic of this story - even if you're making it "your own". But ... have you skipped Pasiphae made amorous of the White Bull of Neptune? And crafty Pasiphae getting Daedalus help to obtain what she longed for? And the impregnation of Pasiphae by the White Bull? These ancient Greeks knew how to tell a good erotic story! Well, maybe you can show us later; perhaps in a flashback? This is probably the most torrid story ever told in schools to teenagers - uncensored (even sometimes with an "illustration" in the schoolbooks - guess of which moment ...). And You are really going to make this a "more tame" story??? Love the graphics. They give me a hint of rememberance of the movie "300" - which is quite fitting.

Promising stuff El Cid. Bit darker than your usual stuff but appreciate the running theme of hot women in a universe where clothes are more rare than jewels.

I see now that there's a reason calves grow their horns after they're born :) Thanks for linking to it.

Heh heh heh! Yeah, I always wondered how Pasiphaë gave birth to a kid with a full rack of horns and didn't have all of her plumbing screwed up by it. According to Wikipedia, her name means "wide-shining," which... um, well I'm just gonna leave that one alone!

The babe appears it's going to be a horny little bugger....

Oops! My bad! It's not all rendered in Carrara... the cliff scene from Page 1 was made in Vue. I plan on doing all the outdoor environments in Vue, or at least generating the vegetation in Vue before exporting to Carrara. Haven't quite worked that all out yet.

It's all rendered in Carrara, and then painted over in Photoshop.

What program did you render these guys (And gals) in?
