Locoma on Oct. 2, 2007
Sorry if you saw me less active last week but I busted my ass finishing a job with the computer and it started to give me horrible headaches (even with the glasses on) and I can't stare at the screen too much (I'm needing a long rest). The thing is, the less time I spend with the computer the more updates I draw. I have next two updates ready, and it's very probable that next week I start updating twice a week, in a monday/thursday schedule

j'f: thanks! I don't see the anime thing, but I used to draw anime and I kept the construction methods, so it must be a little of that in my drawings
dracco: thanks J, and I'm glad you're on Paula's side too, haha.
nintendude: thanks dude, saw your comments in the archive too ;)
tweebus:
glad you ask that, next page we go back to the toy store
2ndwind: you nailed it ;) he can't go pointing things out just like that. I think you know more than you think you know, hehehe.
Loran: thanks man, glad to see you :)
Darrell: thanks, this style went better than I thought, the style quest was worthy
tantz: you know, computer coloring was great, but I'm not that comfortable whit it as I am with traditional stuff for special effects or mood changes, and next pages will have a lot of that. Consider this my official color style for Locoma ;)
Frogman: thanks man, watercolors are a nifty technique because they look good and you can paint large areas in no time. Pencils are exhausting sometimes. Anyway, this is watercolored pencils mixed with watercolors
vickybooksholmes: City stress doesn't suit me and I live in on of the most biggest cities in South America. Everything is technology and stress in here. If you happen to be calm somebody will stop you and ask you if you feel ok :D

Paula just knows WHAT to say and WHEN to say it. She's really a fantastic gal!

Yeah, I prefer the old-fashioned way of drawing. No good with comps :)

Ahh, the state of being completely carried away by unreasoning passion. But it can only go so far... can't it? Unresolved issues I think. Now back to the toy store you say? Clever!

I'm thinking this is the calm before the storm. He'd better be one heck of a good kisser. It's not nice to fool with mother nature!

Great page! I loved your style quest too. It made me want to play around with styles as well.
Frogman at 2:48AM, Oct. 3, 2007
Excellent work as usual, sir. I really like how your pages don't have any conventional borders, but you can still tell where each panel lies.

I LOVE today's page! It is so touching and tender and real. The dialogue really strikes home as very authentic. I also love the first panel, the mannerisms are so very natural. Paula is so cute and Mark's expression very realistic! I think you are expanding your boundaries as an artist. This style is great, not many can pull it off. Well done!

I'm too trusting to survive in a big city. I give money to pan handlers and talk to strangers. My roommates have lectured me on it. :-p I lol'd at today's page. I've had the success/fame conversation with my brother -- almost word for word. We have very different ideas about life goals. :-p If those two keep stopping to kiss and fondle each other, they'll never get to Mr. Advertising's office!
