I'm a programmer and illustrator who lives in South America and is in his late thirties.
As an artist I like both CG and traditional art. In traditional I use pencils, watercolors and markers, sometimes black ink. I rarely use acrylics. With computers I often use a wacom and I have used Photoshop and ArtRage (Corel Painter too) but my main tool has been Adobe Animator (formerly Flash) which I used to produce many short films and illustrations, and also many games.
I came to DrunkDuck in early 2004, at first as a reader and later that year as an author when I started my comic Locoma (now “Locoma the archive” ). From 2006 till 2009 I worked in my longest and finished comic: Locoma. It is currently selft published and you can buy it at Lulu.
I enjoy drawing since I was a little kid. As a reader I like non conventional material. That's why I love the webcomic world, with such variety.

This is how I use latex mask to paint backgrounds separately. Looks complicated but is really satisfactory and easier to paint. I plan to show how I create the mask in future videos
This is basically the way I do my Locoma ( http://www.drunkduck.com/Locoma ) pages (the ones in watercolor). First I draw the structures in Col-Erase pencil, then I pencil it, and lastly I paint it using watercolors. I usually use 2 pots of water: one with distilled water and the second one with regular tap water to clean the brushes, and I usually use more than 1 brush (3 or 4 of different sizes and shapes. This is the final version of this: http://www.drunkduck.com/Locoma/index.php?p=325600
I was trying a technique to use with page number 57, I don't know if I'm gonna use this yet. Anyway, I should have done the background first (do'h)
