Pthomar Trouble - Page 13

There's a lot I could say about this page, or in particular, this sequence. Much of the re-inventing of Mastorism has been just that. A totally new take on our old Universe. This sequence though, while wildly different in the details, actually occurred in our old books (some of the OLDEST in fact). Its kind of interesting to take a step back and see it happen again… see how some things are the same, and others are totally different.
I know the majority of you won't really be able to appreciate that, because this is new to you, which is fantastic, but… those are my feelings on this page. A bit of nostalgia.
For those of you who liked O'Derg, unfortunately, this is the last you'll see of him for a while. I didn't know people were going to like him so much (the overwhelming response of the last page was “I like the lizard dude”). He'll be back, but probably in healthy doses… we don't want another Jar Jar Binks on our hands, right? (Wondering if that sort of thing was the reasoning for keeping Dobby and Winky out of the later Harry Potter films… Arsenio Hall would call that a “Thing that makes you go ‘Hm’”).

DAJB - Hi! Jazzcop - Thanks, it was key to tying this page together, glad to hear I nailed it. Jabali - That's right. I've always felt that if I'm not growing and learning, I'm not doing it right! Iba - Yes! I've found it to be quite an interesting and revealing process to break down and process what's come before into something new. We ll See - We'll see! always1961 - As always... no worries!

Reinventing as you go and choosing new directions is always an interesting process. I'm continually doing it as I go myself.

Great page, great comment. I'm also having the same feelings with my story. re- making, re-drawing and in sometimes leaving at is. It's what some might call "growing pains". You're growing and learning new things... that's always a good thing.

The center tile of matt is the best single drawing of the serious yet...seriously.
