Pthomar Trouble - Page 15

Howdy, Mastors!
Shifting gears here a bit, back to PTHOMAR! It been a bit since we saw “the leech” so here's a little more information about what's going on with that (and more questions, of course!).
John John is truly my favorite character to write. Who else would grab a guy and pick him up by his shirt (and probably, painfully, the fur beneath said shirt), and talk about the importance of being diplomatic?
Anyhow, the Pthomar are a fiesty bunch…
I was out of town for the second half of last week… Thursday's page posted, of course, but I wasn't able to respond until today (Monday, when I'm writing this), so the responses ARE there. I have to laugh my evil laugh as all of you who are giddy about whether or not Matt accepts have to wait another week to find out if anyone comes back through the Envelope to Aerth with Jefe… moo ha ha!
Thanks for reading!

DAJB - Ha!... something about aggressive negotiations, I believe! Iba - Actually, with the universe under the Phantom Lord's thumb, most worlds depend heavily on Mastors to get their patooties out of trouble, and have for as long as anyone can remember. Most of the peoples of the universe are unable to fend for themselves in any kind of huge disaster situation. The only other help would be from the private sector, IE - mercenaries like John John (hence J'Rac here's insistence on getting his help). So, the real questions here are, if the natural thing for the Pthomar to do is contact the Mastors: why haven't the Mastors heard about it? jazzcop - totally... 100%! We ll See - We'll see! Jabali - Those characters were essentially throwaways that eventually worked their way into my story more and more. I'd say the heavy influence, design-wise, were tarantulas, though aside from the fur and eyes, there are no other similarities. Iba has noted similarities between them and the rat creatures of Bone. Hard to classify, I guess, but I am digging them too.... and YES, any species can potentially be Mastors, the Pthomar are no exception! Also: thanks for the kind words!

I really dig those 6 eyes characters. Are they arachnids, insects, mammals or hybrids? Can they be Mastors? Anyway, I totally dig your art and writing skills. Love this comic.

Something tells me their plan was something along the lines of "attack it in a head on charge".

What's that line about negotiations with a light sabre? ;-)
