Pthomar Trouble - Page 16

I was responding to Tuesday's comments when I saw that Iba had raised a good point (he's good at zeroing in on stuff that no one else does), whereas my response turned out to have lots of good information related to the Mastorism Universe. So, with the consideration that not everyone goes back and reads my responses (and that it's a handy tidbit), I thought I'd repeat it here, so without further ado, here you go:
Iba's statment: Something tells me their plan was something along the lines of “attack it in a head on charge”.
My response: Actually, with the universe under the Phantom Lord's thumb, most worlds depend heavily on Mastors to get their patooties out of trouble, and have for as long as anyone can remember. Most of the peoples of the universe are unable to fend for themselves in any kind of huge disaster situation. The only other help would be from the private sector, IE - mercenaries like John John (hence J'Rac here's insistence on getting his help). So, the real questions here are, if the natural thing for the Pthomar to do is contact the Mastors: why haven't the Mastors heard about it?
Also, everybody, if you haven't, check out Iba's comic “Last Words,” its good for you! (If I knew how to link it from here, I would!).
AAaaannnd… thanks for reading everybody, and check back Tuesday to see if Matt passes through the envelope with Jefe or not!

Iba - No favors needed. I just figured since I was singling you out, I'd endorse your comic a bit! I'm just happy you read my comic! always1961 - ...something about "best intentions?" DAJB - Thanks! Setting things in motion! And yes, optometrists make a killing on Pthomar! sloo - Thanks, and thanks for reading! Hope to see you here more! Jabali - The Phtomar were initially going to be nameless, but as they became more involved in the story, it seemed rude to keep them that way... (in my initial script, panel 2 says "Oh My gosh! Are you okay?!?") Ivy - Hi! Thanks! We ll see - almost there! jazzcop - Thanks, I'm always striving to improve! I think this chapter has an enormous curve of improvement throughout, as I've been refining my process to a point where I can do what I need to do on a weekly basis, and still have it look good. The way I approached page 1 is completely different than how I approach what I'm doing now. Worlds? Well it's a universe, so quite a few! Inhabited? A lot. That well visit as readers? I have five written into the story at the moment, but I'm certain it will grow....

The art on this series seems to get better every issue. How many (known?) worlds are in this universe anyways?

Cool characters, cool story, keep it up :D

Cool page. Nice to see additional layers being added to the story. Also, I just had a completely frivolous thought about Pthomar opticians and how their glasses would need eight lenses. Sorry about that!

I hope he doesn`t screw things up

O.o I really wasn't expecting the newspost there. That really explains a lot though. Now I've got another favor to repay. :) I'm looking forward to where this leads and what happens with Matt and Jefe.
