Another new character introduced… and of all the characters we've seen so far, I'd have to say that Nightblud is, by far, the most radically redesigned. With a name like Nightblud, you can pretty much figure out the era when we thought some of this stuff up. His original incarnation featured some plain standard issue tights and a Kid-Flash style mask (you know… the type that shows your muzzle and your hair).
Anyway, I pretty much tossed all that out in favor if this more military look, and threw in some 90's shoulder pads to go with the name. Issue 2 is going to feature a holographic foil cover, come in a poly-bag (gotta buy one to open, and one to save!), and uh… yeah… I'm kidding of course. Anyway, I'm not sure what I think about these shoulder pads after drawing them for a few pages, but I'm gonna stick it out for the time being….
In other news, as I'm getting stuff for print squared away, I was thinking about putting together some merch, if anyone would be interested. I figure t-shirts are pretty standard fare. If i were to make shirts, what would everyone like to see on the shirts? Just a “M” logo (a la the envelotuners), or characters, or some clever like “If You Don't Like Mastorism Universe You Can Kiss My… uhm… Envelotuner?” What what what?!?!? Also, anything else you'd like to see aside from t-shirts? Let me know!
Another thing: I've had those “vote” buttons, but I thought, “what's the point?” Separately, I've thought about wanting to show off some process pics. Now, I've figured out that I can combine the two by showing off the process pics when someone clicks through to vote! Wow! (I saw this on Pinky TA) SO, not today, but perhaps by Thursday or next week, I'll have that going. I'll let you know.
Okay, thats it for now, hope you enjoyed the page, thanks for reading, and I'll catch up with you on thursday!

PS - Dark Knight. Wow! If you haven't seen it yet, you'd better go do that now.

DJAB - Tell me about it! And its iffy if these two have always been on the same side, but there's respect among mercenaries, I suppose... when you're not on the clock! Jazzcop - This guy was mine, the OTHER guy was yours. I'm hoping to work him in somewhere... Might be a ways off. I'll see what I can do about American Apparel. Thanks for the input, I like the M too. japlander - Snake eyes was the best. He was the Joe everyone wanted. I remember playing at friends' houses and having bitter disputes over who gets snake eyes. "You can have all the other Joes... just let me use snake eyes!" sloo - Thanks! I was looking forward to drawing that panel when I wrote it. Glad you liked it. Glad I got you to giggle, too! Jabali - Ditto what I just said about the first panel. I hear ya about gas... big time! But I will say that if you only see one movie this year, it should be Dark Knight. Blew me away! Iba - It's um, for anonymity... yeeeahhhh... that's the ticket! Hehe. Actually, its a little dig toward the development of the character. He started with a goofy name. I'll leave it at that. We ll See - Thanks! croxtonhas - Thanks!

Mercenaries and their constantly changing names. They must enjoy confusing their clients and everything.

Whoa! the opening panel was a blast, literally. New characters are always fun. Those t-shirts do sounds like fun about the Dark knight... I do want to see that mvie... badly but right now I'm singing the Gas-blues. Let's see if i can work something out this weekend... I hope, LOL.

ha...clever. william raymond! Although, I think you invented him, not me...as long as he still has hooks for hands! (right?) Also, I prefer the simple "m" design for shirts, fresh, on american apparel!

Bumping into old colleagues ... always so embarrassing!
